In life we incur constant challenges which are designed to help us grow and elevate ourselves.

That we will have challenges is a given, that we will be pushed is given. It's part of the divine plan of the universe.

So does that mean we have no choice. No, we have a choice, The choice is who does the pushing. My recommendation is to Push Yourself, rather than be pushed.

For example. Let's say you are horribly underemployed. You work underutilized you God given talents and abilities, you are underappreciated, you are underpaid and overall very unsatisfied. However, the job is paying your bills, and you don't want to upset the balance in your life; even if it is an unsatisfying balance.

So this is how the universe works:

Option A: You push yourself, you make a plan that in the next 6 months you are going to push yourself to get that new more rewarding position.

So instead of watching TV you work on your resume and go to networking meetings. Instead of solitaire on the computer, hit the job sites. And Saturday night; skip the movie and work on your interviewing skills. And within the 6 months, you should be well on your way to a more satisfying career.

Option B: You don't do anything and one day soon you find yourself fired which is the universe's way of pushing you to better yourself. But in this case, you are now unemployed, have no income and then have all the headaches of finding a job without a support system. Photo Credit: Worth.
